Life’s Journey from the Womb – a Mother’s Legacy of Love and Faith

Jessica Hanna, a devoted pro-life advocate, sadly passed away on April 6 at the age of 41 after an incredible three-year journey of resilience and faith in battling late-stage cancer while refusing to abort her baby. Her husband, Lamar Hanna, shared their commitment to trusting God’s will throughout her battle with cancer, stating that they were confident “our Lord’s will, ultimately, is perfect.

Despite the medics’ pressure to have an abortion after being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, Jessica remained steadfast in her pro-life stance and gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Thomas on May 30, 2021. After undergoing chemotherapy, Mrs. Hanna experienced several months of peace and pain-free time with her family. Unfortunately, the cancer returned more aggressively in 2022 at stage four, leading to her untimely passing.

The couple’s dedication to raising a large family, instilling traditional values, and maintaining a close-knit community was evident in their ability to juggle multiple businesses and provide a happy home life for their children, Christopher, Mary, Joseph, and Thomas—all under the age of 9. Jessica’s faith remained unwavering throughout her cancer journey, as she viewed it as an opportunity to share the message of eternal hope and God’s grace with others.

As Lamar Hanna continues on his difficult path following the loss of his wife, he remains devoted to their faith in God, attributing their ability to face hardships and embrace what lies ahead to His grace. The family has expressed their immense gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time, and they believe that Jessica’s legacy will inspire others who are struggling with similar challenges in life.
