Trump Gains Ground in Swing State: Polls Show He’s Ahead of Harris

Former President Donald Trump is currently ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, according to recent polling data released by InsiderAdvantage on October 9th, 2024. The poll, which surveyed 800 likely voters between October 7th and 8th, revealed that Trump had garnered a significant amount of support, securing 49 percent approval, while Harris trailed slightly behind with 47 percent.

This increase in Trump’s popularity appears to be attributed to his growing support among independent, senior, and African American voters within the state. This development follows recent voter registration data which indicated that the Republican Party had surpassed the Democratic Party in Pennsylvania during September, registering a total of 60,710 people as opposed to the Democrats’ 25,854 registrations.

These statistics are supported by additional reports from Breitbart News, which have revealed that five counties in the state which were previously known to lean towards Democratic candidates have shifted to a Republican majority. The counties that have experienced this shift include Beaver County, Berks County, Bucks County, Luzerne County, and Fayette County.

Pennsylvania played a vital role in President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential election win against Trump; however, recent polling has shown that Trump either holds a small advantage over Harris or is locked in a tie with her. A Rasmussen Reports and American Thinker poll conducted between September 19th and 22nd, 2024 revealed that both Trump and Harris were tied at 48 percent among likely voters in the state. Another poll, conducted by the Trafalgar Group between September 26th and 29th, showed Trump leading Harris with 47.5 percent to her 45.3 percent.

As the 2024 election cycle approaches, it is clear that both Trump and Harris are vying for the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania. With the continued rise in Republican registration numbers, it remains to be seen which candidate will ultimately secure the necessary votes to win this vital battleground state.
