Jennifer Lawrence Falsely Claims Trump Plans National Abortion Ban; Actress Voices Support for Kamala Harris

Actress Jennifer Lawrence, known for her role in The Hunger Games, recently claimed in an interview with People magazine that President Donald Trump is planning to ban abortion should he be re-elected. However, this claim has been proven false as Trump has consistently stated that he wants individual states to decide the matter for themselves and has declined to endorse a national ban on abortion.

In the interview, Lawrence expressed her support for Kamala Harris, stating that she thinks Harris is an “amazing candidate.” The actress made it clear that her most important issue in the upcoming election was the protection of reproductive rights. She stated, “Abortion is literally on the ballot.” Jennifer Lawrence further explained her stance on abortion: “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I think she’s an amazing candidate and I know that she will do whatever she can to protect reproductive rights.

Contrary to Lawrence’s claim, President Trump has not shown any intentions of banning abortion on a national level. In fact, Vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) stated last month on NBC’s Meet the Press that Trump would veto a national abortion ban if it were passed in his second term.

It seems that Democrats are attempting to use the issue of abortion as a scare tactic for their base, hoping this strategy will give Kamala Harris an advantage in the final stages of the election cycle. However, Jennifer Lawrence’s claim regarding President Trump and abortion has been deemed false by multiple sources, highlighting the importance of fact-checking before sharing such assertions.
