Harris Fumbles: Unveiling Her Plan to Lower Living Costs

Kamala Harris Stumbles Over How She Would Lower Costs Of Living.

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to be at a loss for words when asked how she would lower the cost of living if she were president. While speaking with Oprah Winfrey and a couple during a Q&A, Harris struggled to give a clear answer, instead focusing on anecdotal stories and vague plans.

The couple expressed their concern over the high costs of living and asked Harris how she would address the issue if she were in charge. However, Harris began her response with a word salad that seemed unrelated to the question, discussing aspirations, dreams, and ambitions for families while ignoring the actual question at hand.

Harris then mentioned bringing down the cost of everyday necessities as one way to lower living costs, failing to acknowledge the fact that grocery prices have skyrocketed under her leadership since January 2021. Basic staples like eggs have seen a dramatic increase in price, going up by 147 percent during Harris’ time in office.

The Vice President also appeared to perpetuate the debunked notion that price gouging is responsible for higher grocery prices. However, a recent poll of leading economists from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business found nearly no support for this idea. Instead, they argue that there is little empirical evidence suggesting price gouging is causing high grocery prices.

Harris also touched on homeownership and her own experiences growing up in a family that eventually bought their first home. However, she failed to mention her past living in Westmount, Canada, which was one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Montreal at the time. Furthermore, her administration’s open borders policies have contributed to a housing crisis, with rent prices increasing by 22 percent since January 2021.

Additionally, the Vice President mentioned giving small businesses a $50,000 tax deduction to start up as part of her plan for lowering the cost of living. However, she made no mention of the economic realities Americans face under her leadership, such as gas prices being up 50 percent, electricity costs increasing by 32 percent, and car insurance rates rising by 55 percent since January 2021.

In conclusion, Kamala Harris’ response to the question of how she would lower the cost of living was unclear and lacked specific details on her proposed plan.
