Debunking Kamala Harris’s Claim: Trump’s Position on Constitutional Termination Explained

Vice President Kamala Harris’s claim during the Tuesday debate that former President Donald Trump wants to “terminate” the U.S. Constitution is false. The context of her statement has been taken out of proportion, and it is clear that Trump does not want to casually “terminate” the Constitution. In fact, he refuted this lie himself.

Harris’s claim likely originates from Trump’s reaction in 2022 to a report revealing that the Democrat Party collaborated with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 presidential election. He suggested on Truth Social that “massive fraud” could potentially allow for the termination of all “rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” However, Trump emphasized that he does not want to “terminate” the Constitution.

Instead, Trump explained that when there is “MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION,” steps must be taken to correct the situation. He argued that only fools would disagree with this and accept stolen elections. Despite media outlets running wild with the story, it is clear from his own words that Trump does not want to “terminate” the Constitution as Harris suggested.
