Harris Criticized by Vance: Gold Star Families’ Reactions Revealed

Vice President Kamala Harris has been criticized by Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) for her actions towards the Gold Star families who lost their loved ones in the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. The criticism came after Harris insulted them, and former President Donald Trump’s running mate shared a clip of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), herself a veteran, discussing how Trump showed up at Arlington National Cemetery to pay his respects to 13 Americans who died in the line of duty during their time in Afghanistan.

Gabbard said that Harris has done nothing for these families while Trump demonstrated a true sense of empathy by showing up and grieving with them. The congresswoman also shared her experience from attending the memorial events, where she witnessed Trump spending time at the invitation of Gold Star families who were there to remember their loved ones.

This response follows Harris’s lengthy post on social media accusing Trump of participating in a “political stunt” when he visited Arlington National Cemetery to honor the 13 fallen servicemembers and their families. However, Trump released a joint statement from these very Gold Star families who blasted Harris for “disgracefully” twisting what they described as “this sacred moment into a political ploy.

The families stated that they invited Trump to attend the ceremonies commemorating the three-year anniversary of their children’s deaths. They said he was there to honor their sacrifice, but Harris has disgracefully twisted this sacred moment into a political ploy.

Trump shared his gratitude towards the Gold Star families for coming together and thanking him for attending the event at their request, which was organized to celebrate the lives of their family members who died due to the incompetence of Kamala Harris and Joe Biden during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
