While the comments section has been turned off since, the New York Post reported several opinions shared by social media users who criticized Imperioli’s support for Kamala Harris, with one user stating that it looked like the actor’s career was falling apart and needed money.
Despite the backlash from some fans, Imperioli continued to share his endorsement for Kamala Harris in another Instagram post on Saturday, urging people to save democracy by voting for her and sharing links to register to vote and donate to her campaign in his bio. While some commenters expressed their disapproval of Kamala Harris as a political leader, an Economist/YouGov poll revealed that most voters consider former President Donald Trump to be a strong leader, while a majority of 51% view Vice President Kamala Harris as weak. A recent Reuters/Ipsos survey also showed Trump leading Harris in the seven battleground states where the race was closest in the 2020 election.
