Tim Walz Criticizes Yale Graduate JD Vance, Despite DNC’s Ivy League Speakers

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz recently criticized Senator JD Vance (R-OH) for attending Yale, despite having shared a stage with numerous Yale and Ivy League graduates at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. In his speech, Walz highlighted his humble beginnings in Butte, Nebraska, where he attended a small high school that did not produce any Yale graduates. He has repeatedly attacked Vance for attending an elite university, even though Vance himself grew up in poverty in rural America.

However, Walz’s criticism of Vance appears hypocritical as many of the speakers at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night alone were graduates of Yale and other prestigious Ivy League institutions.

Jaime Harrison, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee (Yale.

Virginia McGregor, Treasurer of the Democratic National Committee (Harvard.

Alexis McGill Johnson, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood (Yale and Princeton.

Cecile Richards, past President of Planned Parenthood (Brown.

Bill Clinton, former President (Yale.

Amanda Gorman, poet (Harvard.

Walz has also been accused of fabricating parts of his own biography. A video shown at the convention repeated one of Walz’s misleading statements about his military rank, as he retired as a master sergeant and not a command sergeant major, which he failed to complete the requirements for.
