Trump Campaign Fights Against ‘Radical’ Democratic Policies: A Week of Events Spotlights Kamala Harris’s Record

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign has been on the attack this week, contrasting Kamala Harris’s policies with those of Republicans such as himself. While Democrats have been celebrating the coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris in Chicago, Trump has been hitting the ground running with a series of events planned every day.

These events focus on drawing attention to the perceived radical nature of Democratic views compared to the more moderate stances of Republican politicians like Trump and Sen. JD Vance (R-OH. A Trump campaign official told Breitbart News, “The Trump campaign is going full bore against the Kamala campaign and highlighting all the disastrous policies she implemented for the last four years.

This week’s schedule began with a tour of Precision Custom Components factory in York, Pennsylvania, by Trump alongside former U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer. Shortly before, Vance toured DiSorb Systems Inc. in Philadelphia. The focus on economic and energy policy is designed to draw a contrast with Harris’s vision for these sectors.

On Tuesday, Trump will visit Michigan and Vance Wisconsin, both key battleground states, to highlight the rise in crime that Democrats are perceived to have exacerbated. In Howell, Michigan, Trump will join several sheriffs at Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, while in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Vance is expected to be at the Kenosha County Courthouse. Both events aim to spotlight the consequences of Democrats’ policies.

On Wednesday, Trump and Vance plan to visit Asheboro, North Carolina, for a national security event at the North Carolina Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame. Alongside several lawmakers, veterans and Gold Star families, they will lay out their vision for national security. This is significant as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who allegedly misrepresented his military service upon retirement, will be addressing the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on the same day. Trump’s team’s aim is to create a split-screen moment that highlights the contrasting views of both parties.

On Thursday, Trump plans to visit the U.S.-Mexico border at Montezuma Pass, Arizona, with National Border Patrol Council officials, sheriffs, and victims of migrant crimes committed under Harris’s watch. This event aims to highlight her perceived failures on immigration enforcement. Meanwhile, Vance will visit Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office in Valdosta, Georgia, to emphasize the impact of Harris’s lax approach to immigration.

Finally, Trump plans to visit Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday to discuss his policy of not taxing tips at a Mexican restaurant before heading back to Arizona for a rally at Turning Point Action event in Glendale. Alongside these events, the Trump campaign has deployed top surrogates such as Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), and Michael Waltz (R-FL), among others, to Chicago to counter Democrat messaging during their convention.

As the week progresses, Trump’s campaign continues its aggressive strategy designed to highlight the perceived failures of Democrats’ policies, especially those of Kamala Harris. While this approach has helped him regain momentum in key battleground states and some national surveys, only time will tell whether it is effective in swaying public opinion in his favor.
