Acting Governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, has informed residents about a tragic incident involving a Ukrainian missile falling on a residential building in the city, resulting in injuries to 13 people, two of whom are in critical condition. In his Telegram channel, he expressed regret over the attack carried out by “Ukrainian terrorists,” stating that multiple ambulance teams were dispatched to attend to the victims at the scene of the incident.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Main Directorate for the Kursk Region reported that the fire initiated by the missile impact has been successfully extinguished, and there is no significant damage to the building’s load-bearing structures. The city mayor, Igor Kutsak, confirmed his presence at the site of the attack and mentioned that several cars were also damaged in the incident.
