Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, married to Vice President Kamala Harris, has reportedly been accused of cheating on his first wife, film producer Kerstin Emhoff, with their nanny, Najen Naylor. Naylor allegedly became pregnant during the affair, according to a recent report by the Daily Mail.
A close friend of Naylor, who worked as a teaching assistant and teacher at The Willows Community School in Culver City, California, confirmed that Naylor had an affair with Emhoff and was pregnant. However, it is unclear whether Naylor gave birth to the baby or not.
When approached by the Daily Mail about the story, Naylor did not deny the pregnancy or affair, stating, “I’m kind of freaked out right now.” Another friend of Naylor’s, Stacey Brooks, who had given birth to twin boys around the time that Naylor was expecting, also confirmed the affair and the pregnancy but refused to discuss any further details without permission from Naylor.
A video posted on Naylor’s Facebook page in September 2009 appears to show three babies: Sawyer, Brook, and George. It is uncertain who Brook’s parents are, as a search of birth records in Los Angeles County did not reveal any babies born under the name “Brook Naylor” or with the last name Emhoff in 2008 or 2009.
Another friend of Naylor’s told the New York Post that Naylor was not pregnant and there was no baby, claiming, “Every parent wanted her to be the teacher for their kid.” They added, “She was the perfect person. She came from a good family. She was not pregnant. There was no baby. I would know.
The affair and pregnancy allegations have reportedly caused concern among supporters of Harris’s vice presidential campaign as she aims to win the presidency in November against former President Donald Trump.
