Biden’s Border Policies: A Catch 22 for American Communities

CBS News recently declared a border victory for President Joe Biden, attributing a claimed decrease in border arrivals in July to actions taken by the administration. However, this reported decline only accounts for apprehensions between official points of entry along the U.S.-Mexico border and does not include the continued influx of economic migrants being invited into American workplaces and communities.

According to preliminary Customs and Border Protection data, there were approximately 56,000 apprehensions made by U.S. Border Patrol agents in July—the lowest number since September 2020, when the agency reported nearly 55,000 apprehensions. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claimed credit for these numbers and cited executive actions taken by the president to restrict asylum between ports of entry, cutting out smugglers.

However, it is essential to note that these figures do not include entries at official border crossings, where the Biden administration is processing roughly 1,500 migrants per day through a cellphone app called “CBP One.” This influx adds up to approximately 45,000 migrants each month or two million every four years.

In addition to this inflow of migrants, there is also the monthly airport arrival of roughly 40,000 economic migrants from countries like Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. This influx is described by Mayorkas and his allies as a legal “humanitarian parole” program.

Taking these additional factors into account, the White House’s monthly inflow of migrants increases from 56,000 to approximately 140,000—roughly three times Donald Trump’s September 2020 inflow cited by CBS. This amounts to a staggering 1.7 million migrants each year or almost twice the number of legal immigrants set by Congress for each year.

Another critical factor to consider is the number of people who sneak across the border without being apprehended. Estimates suggest that roughly 100,000 migrants sneak across the border each month. This means that Mayorkas is inviting and allowing approximately three million migrants every year to cross the border during a claimed crackdown.

This massive influx of migrants siphons vast amounts of wealth away from working Americans and directs it towards investors and Wall Street. The Mexican government has played a role in reducing the number of border crossings by blocking the northward movement of migrants within Mexico, but there is little evidence to suggest that this policy will continue after the election.

Extraction Migration policies have had significant negative impacts on Americans, including reduced wages and opportunities for hard-working citizens. The secretive economic policy has also caused harm to small nations and led to the deaths of countless migrants along the taxpayer-funded jungle trail through the Darien Gap in Panama.
