WNBA and Olympian Diana Taurasi and Team USA Women’s Coach Cheryl Reeve used the Olympics as a platform to express their support for Kamala Harris in her bid for the presidency during an interview with USA Today. Taurasi, wearing her Team USA uniform shirt, explained that “a lot of us” see themselves in Harris, emphasizing policy and its impact on the American people. Reeve highlighted the importance of voting for Harris to protect basic human rights, as she feels these rights are being threatened by the candidate’s opponents.
Taurasi expressed her pride in supporting Harris, stating that they will do everything possible to ensure her victory and move forward in a positive direction for the country. The WNBA members join other Team USA basketball stars, including Coach Steve Kerr and player Steph Curry, who have also used their Olympic platform to support Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.
