Alarming Discoveries: Miami Man Arrested for Child Pornography Charges

A Miami-based migrant, Francisco Ramón Cruz Rodriguez, has been charged with possessing child pornography and promoting child pornography after the Miami Police Department discovered over 500 photos and videos depicting child sexual abuse in his residence. Rodriguez, a 51-year-old, was arrested following the forensic examination of a USB drive found in his home.

The investigation began on July 24 when law enforcement officers discovered nearly 500 images and videos that depicted child pornography. Furthermore, the forensic examination also revealed Google screenshots allegedly showing Rodriguez engaging in video chats with a young girl who appeared to be pre-pubescent.

The examination also uncovered photos of a girl who appeared to be as young as seven years old. What was so shocking about this case there were images that our detectives hadn’t previously seen in any data bank that we had investigated before,” Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales commented on the case.

Rodriguez is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has placed a detainer on Rodriguez, requesting custody of him if he is released from jail at any time.

This case highlights the alarming prevalence of child pornography and underscores the need for law enforcement agencies to continue their efforts to protect children from this heinous crime. As technology advances and becomes more accessible, it is crucial that individuals like Rodriguez are held accountable for their actions and face the consequences of their horrific choices.
