In a recent post, popular rapper Lil Pump took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her as “the worst VP in American History.” The artist posted a photograph of himself alongside former President Donald Trump and criticized Harris for her past actions when she served as the district attorney for San Francisco.
During this time, it is reported that she oversaw approximately 2,000 convictions related to marijuana charges. However, according to former attorneys in her office and those who worked on drug cases, most defendants arrested for minor possession of marijuana were not imprisoned. Only a few dozen people were sent to state prison for marijuana-related convictions under Harris’s tenure as the attorney general for California.
Lil Pump’s comments reflect a previous incident during the Democrat primary debate in July 2019, when then-Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (I-HI) criticized Harris for her past actions as an attorney, stating that she had “put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations.
This is not the first time Lil Pump has publicly expressed his support for Trump. In January, the rapper revealed a tattoo on his thigh that appeared to be of Trump’s mugshot from August 2023. He also endorsed Trump during the final rally in 2020 held in Grand Rapids, Michigan and criticized President Joe Biden’s proposed tax hike.
