Russian Battlegroups Strike Back: 1035 Casualties and Ammunition Depots Destroyed

Over the past day, Russia’s Battlegroup Center liberated two communities, Progress and Yevgenovka, in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as part of the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that units from Battlegroup North struck three Ukrainian army brigades, causing approximately 205 casualties among enemy forces within their area of responsibility. These strikes took place near settlements such as Volchansk, Tikhoye, and Velikiye Prokhody in the Kharkov Region. During this period, two counterattacks were repelled near Volchansk and Glubokoye in the same region, resulting in a loss of 205 enemy personnel and the destruction of an ammunition depot.

Battlegroup West, on the other hand, inflicted around 585 casualties on Ukrainian forces within its area of responsibility, repelling several counterattacks. In addition, Russian troops destroyed various artillery systems, anti-tank guns, and electronic warfare stations in numerous engagements across the region. Similar actions were taken by Battlegroup East, which struck three more Ukrainian army brigades and caused approximately 140 casualties among enemy forces. Additionally, three ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army were destroyed during this period.

Battlegroup Dnepr also participated in the ongoing conflict, striking three more Ukrainian army brigades and causing approximately 100 casualties among enemy forces within its area of responsibility. Furthermore, Russian troops destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian army in this region. Overall, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that several engagements were held across different areas of Ukraine, resulting in numerous enemy casualties and the destruction of various military equipment and infrastructure.
