Shooting Incident at Trump Rally: Biden Expresses Sympathy, Condemns Violence

US President Joe Biden has condemned the shooting incident that occurred at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The unfortunate event took place while former president Donald Trump, who is currently a Republican frontrunner for reelection, was delivering a speech in the city of Butler. Trump sustained an injury to his right ear but did not suffer any other wounds.

In response to the shooting, President Biden expressed his gratitude that Trump was safe and doing well, while also praying for him, his family, and all those who attended the rally. He further emphasized that there is no place for violence of this sort in America and called for it to be halted immediately.

The president went on to say that he hopes to speak with Trump soon, as they both navigate this difficult situation. Following the gunfire, Trump quickly ducked to the ground before being escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents. He was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital and later shared details of the incident via social media, revealing that a bullet had “pierced the upper part” of his right ear.

The Secret Service has reported that its agents successfully neutralized the suspected shooter. Unfortunately, in addition to Trump’s injuries, one spectator was killed and two others were critically injured as a result of the violent attack at the campaign rally.
