Trump’s Challenge: Calling for Mandatory Cognitive Tests in Politics

Former US President Donald Trump has called on current leader Joe Biden to take a cognitive test immediately to prove his fitness for office. In a post on social media platform Truth Social, Trump proposed taking the test alongside Biden, suggesting they work together “for the good of the country.

Additionally, he argued that such tests should be made mandatory for all presidential candidates in the future. The call comes after growing concerns over Biden’s cognitive and physical capacities following a poor performance during a recent presidential debate. As dissatisfaction within the Democratic Party increases, some high-profile members and major donors are urging him to step down from his reelection campaign.

Biden has dismissed the possibility of dropping out, insisting that he is capable of defeating Trump in November and running the world as president. Despite these claims, a recent survey by CBS News/YouGov revealed that 72% of registered voters believe Joe Biden does not have the “mental and cognitive health necessary to serve as president.
