Republican Party Stands Proudly Pro-Life: The Forgotten Men and Women of America

The Republican Party’s stance on the pro-life cause is an integral part of their platform, according to Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who served as chair of the platform committee. During her appearance on Breitbart News Daily, she addressed concerns from some within the pro-life community regarding the absence of explicit language in the list of 20 promises outlined by the Republican Party. However, Sen. Blackburn assured that the party’s dedication to protecting life is indeed mentioned in the 16-page document, emphasizing that the Republican Party is, and always will be, a pro-life and pro-family organization.

Sen. Blackburn explained that the platform is not an exhaustive, detailed account of the party’s stance on various issues but rather a summary of their key commitments. She highlighted that one of these commitments is to “continue to protect life,” as mentioned in a short paragraph within the document: “We proudly stand for families and life. We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that no person can be denied life or liberty without due process, and that the states are therefore free to pass laws protecting those rights.

The Republican Party platform emphasizes its dedication to “the forgotten men and women of America,” and Sen. Blackburn encouraged listeners to read the entire document and engage in supporting Republicans at local, state, and federal levels. She further stressed that this platform is considerably different from the 2016 version and has been intentionally designed to be easily digestible and user-friendly for a wider audience.
