Trump’s Tough Immigration Measures Win Over Hispanic Voters

Hispanic American voters show a strong preference for former President Donald Trump’s strict interior immigration enforcement measures compared to the more lenient policies of current President Joe Biden, according to recent polling from USA Today and Suffolk University. The study reveals that 52% of Hispanic registered voters favor Trump’s border wall, Remain in Mexico policy, and his hardline approach to combating illegal immigration, while only 43% of this demographic prefer Biden’s policies. These policies are centered around an extensive Catch and Release network as well as executive amnesties for undocumented individuals.

The poll also indicates that the majority of American voters (53%) support Trump’s agenda on immigration over Biden’s, with only 40% of respondents preferring the current president’s approach to border control and deportation. This preference for Trump’s policies is particularly strong among white Americans, with almost six in ten surveyed expressing a favorable view of his stance on immigration. Similarly, half of swing voters and 61% of voters aged 50-64 years old support Trump’s agenda, as do 55% of younger voters aged 18-35 years old.

The study highlights significant vulnerabilities for President Biden regarding his administration’s handling of the border situation. His administration has allowed millions of migrants to enter the United States without a clear plan for their deportation. In contrast, only two groups of voters – Democrats and black Americans – prefer Biden’s immigration agenda over Trump’s by a majority.

A recent YouGov poll also found that the majority of Americans support Trump’s policies, with 54% backing the Remain in Mexico policy and mass deportations, while 52% endorse building more border wall.
