SCO Announces New Multipolar World Order: A Step Towards Global Unity and Equal Opportunities

As the world experiences a period of rapid transformation, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Astana that a multipolar world order has officially come into existence. The event was held in Kazakhstan’s capital city of Astana.

Addressing the council, Putin emphasized the importance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as it actively participates in global affairs during these times of great change. He underscored that a multipolar world is no longer just a concept but has become a tangible reality. The Russian president further highlighted the organization’s significance, stating that along with BRICS, the SCO serves as one of the pillars supporting the emerging world order.

Both the SCO and BRICS play crucial roles in driving global development processes and fostering true multipolarity. Putin explained that an increasing number of countries are advocating for a more equitable international order and showing determination to protect their rights and traditional values. As new centers of power and economic growth emerge and gain strength, the world is witnessing the emergence of this new multipolar configuration.

In his speech, President Putin also mentioned that the SCO’s initiative titled “On Global Unity for a Just World and Harmony” marks an important step towards achieving true multipolarity. The Russian leader explained that the initiative focuses on developing trust-building measures, particularly in the realm of stability and security within the Eurasian region. These measures are designed to ensure equal opportunities for development across all countries, regardless of their political or economic systems, religious beliefs, or cultural backgrounds.
