Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini, has been criticized for demonstrating anti-American bias in its answers to questions about America’s founding documents and Founding Fathers. Researchers from the Media Research Center (MRC) have found that Gemini provides “complex” answers to straightforward questions, such as whether Americans should celebrate the Fourth of July holiday. The AI chatbot also failed to give clear responses when asked to identify the “good guys” in World War II and seemed to equate the Declaration of Independence with The Communist Manifesto. MRC’s Free Speech America expressed concern over the left-wing bias and anti-Americanism displayed by Google’s Gemini, highlighting that it does not appear to be neutral or objective in its information provision.
