Attack on cops: Offered plea deals for suspects

On Tuesday, a Manhattan judge offered plea deals to six of the migrants charged with viciously assaulting two NYPD officers in Times Square back in January.

One of the accused, Yohenry Brito, was arrested again while out on bail last week for petit larceny, which infuriated the presiding judge who warned him of severe consequences if he slips up again.

The proposed deals by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office include a year in jail for three of the accused in exchange for pleading guilty to second-degree assault.

Two other migrants have been offered separate deals to serve six months in prison for pleading guilty to obstructing a government administration.

Prosecutors also offered one defendant, Yorman Reveron, a deal that would send him to prison for two years for pleading guilty to second-degree assault.

The defendants’ attorneys have not yet accepted the plea deals, and a trial date will be set if no agreement is reached by June 18th.

The seven migrants were indicted following the shocking caught-on-camera beatdown of the two officers when they tried to break up a rowdy crowd at the Crossroads of the World on January 27th.

The incident saw the mob kicking the officers in the head and body before running away.

Juarez and Servita-Arocha are alleged members of the notorious Venezuelan street gang “Tren de Aragua,” and are the subjects of ICE detainers.
