Trump’s ‘monster’: Accused killer should not have been allowed in the US

Former President Donald Trump addressed the tragic case of Maryland mother Rachel Morin, who was allegedly raped and murdered by an undocumented immigrant. During a rally in Racine, Wisconsin, Trump discussed Victor Martinez-Hernandez, a 23-year-old undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, who has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape of Morin. The suspect was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday.

After entering the country, the undocumented immigrant allegedly “savagely attacked a nine-year-old girl and her mother in a home invasion in Los Angeles.” He was later charged with raping and murdering Morin when she was out for a run; her body was found dumped into a “drainage ditch.

The Tulsa Police Department stated that Martinez-Hernandez was “wanted for a crime spree that started in El Salvador and then multiple cities across the United States.” He is wanted in El Salvador for murder, fled to the U.S., where he violently assaulted a 9-year-old girl and her mother during a home invasion. Hernandez then allegedly traveled to Harford County Maryland and killed Morin while she was walking down a trail.

Trump added that “this monster should never have been allowed into our country.” He stated, “If I were president, he would never have been able to come in.” In 2023 alone, an estimated 2,000 Americans were killed by undocumented immigrants, highlighting the importance of securing borders and implementing stricter immigration policies.
