A section of a five-story apartment block has collapsed as a result of a Ukrainian strike on the town of Shebekino in Russia’s Belgorod Region, local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has said. The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, leaving residents and local authorities scrambling to address the situation.
According to preliminary information, at least five people were injured in the attack, with three of them being hospitalized immediately for medical treatment. The remaining two individuals received necessary medical assistance on-site. The incident has prompted a significant rescue operation that involves approximately 80 emergency workers and 21 specialized units of equipment.
Rescuers recovered two residents from the rubble and evacuated two others from the fifth floor of the damaged building, according to Governor Gladkov’s report. As the search continues for any additional victims or survivors, emergency services are working diligently to ensure everyone’s safety.
