Bodies of four hostages found amid crossfire

Four Israeli Hostages Dead, Confirms Military.

The Israeli military has confirmed that four hostages taken by Hamas in the Gaza Strip are now dead. The hostages – Haim Perry, Yoram Metzger, Amiram Cooper and Nadav Popplewell – were abducted on October 7 and held captive by Hamas before they died a few months ago. Their bodies are still being withheld by the terrorist organization.

In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed the families of the deceased hostages that they had been confirmed dead based on intelligence reports and the findings of an expert committee from the Ministry of Health. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are still under investigation by all relevant professionals.

The IDF continues to use a wide range of methods to gather information about the remaining hostages in Gaza, while maintaining support for the families of those killed. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, an IDF spokesman, stated that it is believed the four men likely died together during an Israeli operation against Hamas.

One of the deceased hostages, Haim Perry, was a peace activist and one of the founding members of Kibbutz Nir Oz, which was severely affected by the violence on October 7. His daughter, Noam, has criticized calls for a ceasefire while hostages remain in captivity.

The Israeli military also confirmed that paramedic Dolev Yahud, who had been thought to be kidnapped, was killed on October 7, and his remains were recently recovered in Israel. Hagari noted that Yahud left his pregnant wife and three children in their bomb shelter to save the lives of others under attack during the conflict.
