Democrats’ War on Free Speech: Stifling Dissent and Suppressing Truth

The Threat of Free Speech: How Democrats Seek to Control the Narrative.

In recent years, there has been an increased effort by Democrats and their allies in the media to stifle free speech, particularly on social media platforms. This growing trend has raised concerns among civil liberties advocates and defenders of the First Amendment. Notable figures such as Hillary Clinton and John Kerry have expressed their disdain for unfiltered conversations, stating that they pose a threat to their political agendas.

This shift away from democratic values is alarming, considering that the Democratic Party was once associated with the ideals of President John F. Kennedy, who famously stated, “We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values.” However, it appears that Democrats today are more concerned about controlling the information landscape than upholding these principles.

Hillary Clinton’s recent comments on CNN reveal her belief that social media companies must be censored in order to maintain their grip on power. She argues that without such restrictions, “we lose total control.” This perspective is shared by others within the Democratic Party, including John Kerry and various law school deans.

The desire for control over public discourse has led Democrats to align themselves with the tactics of Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Propaganda under Adolf Hitler’s regime. By attempting to manipulate information and suppress dissenting opinions, these politicians are actively working against the very principles that made America a beacon of freedom and democracy.

Jonathan Turley, a legal analyst, has noted that Democrats only support free speech when it aligns with their ideological agendas. Those who dare to challenge or criticize Democratic policies face potential censorship and even deplatforming from social media platforms. This selective approach to free speech is contrary to the spirit of open dialogue and intellectual inquiry upon which our society was built.

As November 4th approaches, it remains unclear whether millions of American voters will recognize the dangers posed by this blatant attempt to control the narrative. However, one thing is certain: the First Amendment is under attack from those who claim to support democracy and freedom of expression.

The ongoing efforts to censor social media platforms and suppress alternative viewpoints are symptomatic of a broader trend among Democrats: an unwillingness to engage in honest debate or acknowledge the validity of opposing opinions. This refusal to engage with differing perspectives threatens not only our democracy but also the very foundation upon which it was built.

It is crucial that citizens remain vigilant in defending their right to freely express themselves and hold their leaders accountable. As President Kennedy once said, “A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.” In order to preserve our democracy, we must ensure that the voices of all citizens are heard – even when they challenge established norms or express unpopular ideas.
