A joint digital currency platform could be established by central banks from BRICS countries and their partners, Russian Presidential Academy expert Denis Denisov has said. The idea was suggested ahead of the 16th BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia. In addition to settlements in national currencies among BRICS members, the project would also involve transactions with countries seeking cooperation with the intergovernmental organization, including Iran and Saudi Arabia.
