Revving Up Faith-Based Voting: The Coalition’s Record-Breaking Game Changer for Trump

The Faith & Freedom Coalition has been working tirelessly to mobilize low propensity Evangelical and Catholic voters for former President Donald Trump, in what founder and chairman Ralph Reed calls “the best ground game” he has ever seen. During an interview on Breitbart News Saturday, Reed stated that the coalition is reaching ten million doors, which accounts for half of all the doors knocked on by the entire Republican Party four years ago. This impressive feat doesn’t include Trump’s own efforts or the work done by organizations like Turning Point and SBA Pro-Life America.

According to Reed, this ground game is unlike any he has seen before, focusing on in-person visits and phone calls from volunteers rather than robocalls and computer-generated text messages. The organization’s goal is to boost voter turnout among low-propensity voters of faith, specifically targeting self-identified evangelical conservative Christians (25% – 27% of the electorate) and devout, mass-attending Catholics (10% – 11. By focusing on these groups, the coalition aims to secure thousands of more votes for Trump in November.

In swing states, increasing voter turnout among low-propensity voters of faith by just a few percentage points could lead to tens or even hundreds of thousands of additional votes for Trump. This potential increase would likely go unnoticed by most pollsters since their models are based on 2020 turnouts.

Reed believes that the left-leaning media and Democrats are downplaying conservative ground game efforts in an attempt to distract from their long list of policy failures. He argues that issues such as the economy, inflation, crime, and the border are all losers for them, prompting them to change the subject and focus on topics like Project 2025 and abortion instead. However, Reed is confident that this strategy will not work, and Trump’s ground game efforts will ultimately secure his victory in November.
