Trump to Ramp Up Campaign Schedule, Targeting Battleground States and Swing Regions

Former President Donald Trump plans to intensify his campaign activities in the remaining 40 days before the election, scheduling events across battleground states as well as red and blue states. Speaking to Breitbart News during a nearly hour-long phone interview on Sunday, Trump said he would be visiting Aurora, Colorado, a predominantly Democratic area, and Springfield, Ohio, a traditionally Republican stronghold. Both cities have been impacted by migration issues.

Trump criticized the current administration’s handling of the country’s borders, describing them as “the laughingstock of the world.” He expressed concern over other countries sending their criminals into the United States and claimed that communities in the Midwest are being destroyed due to these migrations. Trump emphasized the importance of voting and urged people to make their voices heard in the upcoming election.

In addition to the planned visits to Aurora, Colorado, and Springfield, Ohio, Trump has a packed schedule for this week alone. He is set to hold an event focused on stopping Chinese communists from purchasing American farmland in Pennsylvania, followed by a large rally in the state. Furthermore, he plans to visit south Georgia in Savannah, return to North Carolina in Charlotte, and attend several events in Michigan.

Trump also revealed that he is considering holding campaign events in Virginia, Maine, New Hampshire, Minnesota, New Mexico, and New Jersey—and possibly more in New York. He emphasized the significance of rallies as a means to draw large crowds, citing his recent event at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, which attracted an audience too large for the venue, with thousands of people unable to get in.

In addition to his planned visits to key battleground states and some blue states, Trump also plans red state visits such as the upcoming one to Springfield, Ohio, and a trip to Alabama for the Alabama-Georgia football game this coming Saturday. He is expected to receive a massive reception at Bryant-Denny Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 100,000 attendees, given that the game will be between Alabama and Georgia—a state situated within the electoral swing region.

Aside from Trump’s rallies and events, the former president shared with Breitbart News his enthusiasm for participating in town hall events like the one he did with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in Michigan last week, as well as unconventional media appearances such as his recent interview on Greg Gutfeld’s Fox News channel show, which set record ratings. Trump highlighted the importance of engaging audiences through a range of platforms and maintaining a friendly yet challenging conversational style during these interviews.
