Illegal Immigration Invades New York City: A Councilwoman’s Plea

The impact of illegal immigration on New York City has been substantial according to Republican New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who spoke about the realities faced by her district during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily. Discussing a report citing officers in midtown Manhattan who believe that 75% of their arrests involve illegal aliens, Paladino affirmed that this assessment is very accurate, stating that “We have 60% of that 75% going on here in my borough of Queens, according to that report.

Expanding on the issue, Paladino expressed concern about the growing crime rate associated with the influx of illegal immigrants. She stated, “We’ve got a third world country now here in New York City, with third-world crime taking place on a daily basis.” She explained that they are seeing teenagers as young as 13 committing some of the most heinous crimes, ranging from flashing to shoplifting and even violent acts like slashings, shootings, and robberies.

The councilwoman argued that Governor Kathy Hochul has the power to address this issue by bringing in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and repealing the sanctuary city status. Paladino also suggested replacing District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has been criticized for his lenient approach to prosecuting criminals.

Paladino expressed frustration with the current situation, stating that they have been discussing this issue for years, ever since the initial wave of 50,000 migrants arrived in the city. She called these new arrivals “invaders” and criticized the narrative that Americans are not welcoming enough, which she argued is a cover-up for the failure to properly address the issue of crime and its impact on middle-class taxpayers.

Furthermore, Paladino pointed out that the justice system in New York City is failing “left and right,” resulting in a lawless environment where police officers are unable to effectively perform their duties. She lamented the decline of the once great city of New York and called for immediate action to address the issue of illegal immigration and its impact on public safety and social cohesion.
