Title: “Debunking the Fake News: Trump’s Non-Existent Pregnancy Monitoring Program for Abortion Bans

The claim that former President Donald Trump wanted to create a “monitor” or “coordinator” for pregnancies in order to enforce abortion bans has been debunked as false by multiple fact-checking sources, including Breitbart News and USA Today. Despite the evidence against this allegation, Democratic leaders such as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris continue to make these statements at events and on social media.

The source of this hoax is believed to be a post by the left-wing group Occupy Democrats, which often spreads false information with little consequence. The group cited Time magazine as its source, but USA Today pointed out that Trump’s actual stance on potential abortion policies was not accurately represented in their article.

In reality, Trump told Time that he would leave decisions about abortion laws up to individual states and did not advocate for a federal pregnancy monitoring program. Furthermore, the supposed “monitor” or “coordinator” idea never appeared in Project 2025, which has been misrepresented as Trump’s policy.

Fact-checking website Snopes also debunked the claim, stating that Trump said he would not prevent states from passing laws establishing systems for monitoring pregnancies but did not actively advocate for such a law himself. Thus, the allegation that Trump intended to pass federal legislation requiring constant government monitoring of pregnant individuals in order to prevent abortions is false.

Both Kamala Harris and Tim Walz should refrain from spreading this misinformation, which has been fact-checked as “false” by multiple credible sources.
