Rising Crime Wave: Biden-Harris Administration Sees Over 40% Increase in Violent Crimes

The Justice Department has reported a significant rise in violent crimes such as rape, robbery, and aggravated assault under the Biden-Harris administration despite claims to the contrary. Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) data revealed that these types of offenses increased by more than 40% since President Joe Biden took office. This is a significant contrast to the previous administration as violent crime fell by 15% during former President Donald Trump’s tenure, according to CPRC estimates.

During Tuesday’s debate, Trump criticized the current administration’s claims about crime rates in the country, stating that “crime in this country is through the roof.” He also highlighted a new form of crime referred to as “migrant crime,” which has become increasingly common according to his campaign.

Migrant crime incidents have gained attention recently due to high-profile cases involving undocumented immigrants allegedly committing heinous acts such as rape, murder, and assault. The Trump campaign cited several examples of these types of crimes in a bid to emphasize the dangers posed by illegal aliens.

One such case involved Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five from Maryland who was allegedly raped and strangled to death by an undocumented immigrant in 2023. Her partially naked body was discovered in a drainage tunnel near a hiking trail. Another case involved Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia, who was savagely murdered allegedly by an illegal alien who strangled her and beat her over the head with a rock while she was out for a jog.

In another tragic incident, Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl from Houston, was brutally murdered, allegedly by two undocumented immigrants who reportedly lured her under a bridge, tied her up, sexually assaulted her for hours before killing her and disposing of her body in a bayou. One of the alleged assailants was even wearing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) ankle monitor at the time of the crime.

The Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) revealed that violent crime has surged under the Biden-Harris administration, with rape increasing by 42%, robbery rising by 63%, and aggravated assault escalating by 55. These statistics show a dramatic shift from the previous four years when violent crime fell by 15% during Trump’s tenure.

The CPRC also analyzed data comparing the current administration’s performance to that of its predecessor, using various timeframes for comparison. Even when adjusting for factors such as COVID-19 and other potential influences on crime rates, it remains clear that violent crime has increased significantly under President Biden. For instance, if one uses 2019 as the starting point or considers a five-year average before the pandemic hit, violent crime still rose by 19.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, rape incidents soared by 42%, robbery cases increased by 63%, and aggravated assault rates jumped by 55. When examining data from 2021 as a base year for comparison, these numbers remain relatively unchanged except for aggravated assault, which experienced a more significant increase using this measure. Overall, violent crime has risen by 55%, with rape increasing by 42%, robbery rising by 53%, and aggravated assault escalating by 67.
