Vance’s Critique: Exposing Kamala’s Fuzzy Tax Policies

The Republican vice presidential nominee, Senator JD Vance (OH), recently criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s policies. After waiting seven weeks following her announcement to run for president, Vance expressed his thoughts on the policy page released by Harris in a detailed social media post. He specifically called out her claim that she would reduce taxes for the middle class, pointing to her vote to hire 87,000 IRS agents who have conducted more audits on taxpayers earning less than $200,000 per year. Furthermore, Vance mentioned the Biden-Harris administration’s plan to increase taxes by $5 trillion and their proposal to require businesses to report transactions over $600 made using third-party payment platforms.

Vance’s criticism was met with support from other social media users, including journalist Kyle Becker, who lauded Vance for taking on Harris’s policies in a detailed manner. Fox Business correspondent Charles Gasparino also chimed in, calling the Biden-Harris administration’s tax plan nothing more than “talking points.” OANN reporter Monica Paige criticized Harris for not defining what “middle class” means and compared her initiatives to those of a middle school class president.

Another commenter highlighted that Harris’s policy page repeatedly refers to “Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda,” which is not an initiative created or endorsed by the former president. The commenter also pointed out that while Harris claimed the border system was broken, she has been in charge as border czar for four years.
