Tyrese Gibson Criticizes Biden Administration Over Anti-Hate Law, Disappointment with War Funding & Border Issues

Singer-actor Tyrese Gibson, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious and Transformers film series, has publicly criticized the Biden administration, specifically Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, over their signing of an anti-hate law that aims to protect Asian Americans. The law in question was signed by Biden in 2021, creating a new position within the Justice Department focused on hate crimes against Asian Americans, which have seen a significant increase during the COVID pandemic.

During a recent interview with civil rights attorney Ben Crump, Gibson expressed frustration at what he perceives as a lack of similar legislation aimed at protecting black and brown individuals, who he believes are being treated as “disposable.” He went on to claim that former President Donald Trump had “motivated” the attacks against Asian Americans, despite no evidence supporting this claim.

The vast majority of attacks on Asian Americans have occurred in Democratic-run cities, with perpetrators often belonging to other minority groups. Gibson’s critique comes after he supported the Biden-Harris ticket during the 2020 election. He has since expressed disappointment in the administration, particularly in regards to their funding of wars and handling of immigration issues at the southern border.

Tyrese Gibson is not the only black celebrity who has publicly criticized the Biden-Harris administration. In recent years, a growing number of black voters have been defecting from the Democratic party and voicing support for former President Donald Trump. This trend can be partially attributed to the negative impact Kamala Harris’ failure to secure the southern border has had on black communities. As a result, local governments have been forced to cut back on essential services such as policing and public education in order to provide housing and other taxpayer-funded benefits to a growing number of undocumented immigrants.
