Russian Military Strikes Key Ukrainian Facilities: Latest Offensive Targets Defense Industries and UAV Sites

Russia’s Armed Forces have conducted a major operation targeting numerous facilities across Ukraine, including those involved in energy production and defense industries, according to a report from the Russian Defence Ministry. The attacks were carried out using long-range high-precision weaponry and kamikaze drones, with Moscow claiming that targeted buildings were being used for aircraft and missile weapons repair and production.

In addition to these facilities, Russian forces also aimed at UAV assembly and storage sites as well as temporary deployment points for nationalist groups and foreign mercenaries. The ministry reported that all designated targets had been successfully hit.

Furthermore, Russian forces employed tactical aviation, drones, missiles, and artillery to strike various concentrations of enemy forces and military equipment in 143 districts throughout Ukraine. This recent action comes on the heels of reports that Ukraine had conducted a large-scale drone attack on Russian territory over the weekend. In response to this incident, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that a total of 158 UAVs were either shot down or intercepted by electronic warfare measures across more than a dozen regions in Russia, including areas near Moscow.

Last month also saw reports of long-range strikes conducted by Russia on key Ukrainian energy facilities said to be supporting the nation’s military industry. These attacks resulted in widespread power outages throughout Ukraine and were considered one of the most extensive assaults on its energy infrastructure since the conflict began. Following this latest round of Russian strikes, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal stated that the barrage affected a total of 15 regions, with Energy Minister German Galuschenko describing the current energy situation in the country as “difficult.
