Echoing former President Donald Trump’s advice to give Harris a “fair but tough interview,” Bash forced the Vice President to own the Biden-Harris administration’s economic record while simultaneously blaming Trump for it.
Before the interview, Trump posted on Truth Social, suggesting that if Bash conducted a fair yet tough interview with Kamala Harris, she would expose her as being “totally inept and ill suited for the job of President.” Bash took this advice to heart and carefully exposed Harris’s contradictory stance on the economy.
The Vice President began by discussing the challenges faced during the height of the pandemic under the Trump administration, claiming that Biden and herself rescued America from a crashed economy. However, when asked if she considered Bidenomics a success, she hesitated to take full credit for the administration’s policies.
Polling data reveals that only 26.9% of Americans believe the nation is on the right track, while 63.4% think it is on the wrong track. This information suggests that despite the Biden-Harris administration’s attempts to spin their economic record, many Americans remain unconvinced and dissatisfied with the current state of affairs.
