Biden’s Political Legacy Tarnished: A Swamp Unraveled

The Biden family is currently facing numerous leaks and damaging revelations from members of the permanent political class in Washington, D.C., shortly after President Joe Biden announced he would not be running for re-election in 2024. These leaks have raised questions about the influence and credibility of the Biden family within the establishment, as well as the actions taken by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to protect them from legal scrutiny.

The first leak involves Hunter Biden accepting $3,101,258 from Romanian partner Gabriel Popoviciu to “influence U.S. government agencies” while Joe Biden served as Vice President. Special Counsel David Weiss revealed this information in a court filing but stopped short of accusing Hunter of having “improperly coordinated with the Obama administration.” This raises questions about why the DOJ failed to indict Hunter on Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations in 2023 while Joe Biden remained in the presidential race.

The second leak involves the State Department releasing a document showing that Hunter sought U.S. government help for Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian company. This raises additional questions about why Hunter did not register as a foreign agent for his work with Burisma, an energy company that paid him $83,000 per month – or $1 million per year – shortly after his father was announced as the “point person” on U.S. foreign policy with Ukraine.

The third leak involves the DOJ revealing the discovery of 117 pages of transcribed discussions between Joe Biden and his ghostwriter, which were used by Special Counsel Robert Hur to conclude that Biden was a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” This led to media allies pressuring Joe Biden to step aside from the race.

Washington, D.C., is often described as a swamp due to its revolving door of politicians and bureaucrats who have staying power, connections, and are willing to compromise. Joe Biden arrived in Washington in 1973 as a U.S. senator and managed to accrue influence, align himself with the powerful, and eventually ascend to the presidency. However, it seems his usefulness to the establishment may be coming to an end, as reports surface of influential politicians pushing him out of the race.

Former President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), and Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) played significant roles in pushing Joe Biden out of the presidential race, according to multiple interviews with those who have firsthand knowledge of the events.

In an interview with CBS News, Joe Biden explained that he stepped aside from the race because “a number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races.” He expressed concern that staying in the race would make the topic a major point of contention during the election season.

These revelations about the Biden family have raised questions about their influence within the establishment and the actions taken by the DOJ to protect them from legal scrutiny. As more information comes to light, it remains to be seen how these events will impact the political landscape in Washington, D.C., and the future of the Biden family in politics.
