Murderous Migrant: How Biden-Harris’ Release of MS-13 Gang Member Ended in Tragedy

An illegal alien who was released into the United States by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration has been sentenced to 70 years in prison for raping and murdering a young woman in Aberdeen, Maryland. The man, a member of the notorious MS-13 gang, entered the U.S. as an Unaccompanied Alien Child (UAC) after being resettled by the Biden administration.

In January 2023, Walter Javier Martinez, a 19-year-old unauthorized immigrant and MS-13 gang member, was arrested for the rape and murder of 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton on July 27, 2022, just months after he had been allowed to enter the country by the Biden-Harris administration.

Martinez’s plea to first-degree murder revealed that he tied up, raped, and strangled Hamilton to death with a phone cord. The brutal attack was recorded on voicemail as Hamilton called her boyfriend for help when Martinez barged into her room.

While awaiting trial in the Harford County Detention Center, prosecutors discovered a letter written by Martinez admitting to killing four people and committing two rapes in his native El Salvador. Tammy Nobles, Hamilton’s mother who has testified before Congress about her daughter’s murder, said she believed that this was not Martinez’s first crime and that he had likely committed other violent acts before.

Nobles described how her daughter’s dreams and goals were shattered due to the actions of Martinez. The House Judiciary Committee revealed that Martinez should never have been allowed into the U.S., as his affiliation with the MS-13 gang in El Salvador was known, but neither the Department of Homeland Security nor the Department of Health and Human Services contacted the El Salvador police to gather this information before releasing him into the United States.

After being placed in HHS custody as a UAC, Martinez was assigned an adult sponsor, who he claimed was his aunt, and released into Maryland in May 2022. Only two months later, he raped and murdered Hamilton.

Tammy Nobles, represented by her attorney Brian Claypool, has filed a $100 million wrongful death lawsuit against Biden and Harris’s DHS and HHS for freeing Martinez into the U.S. interior, enabling him to commit this heinous crime.
