Empowering Vibes: Democratic Governors Unite with Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Support of Kamala Harris

In an apparent shift away from policy discussions and interviews, it seems that Democrats are looking to boost Kamala Harris by focusing on “vibes.” This became apparent when Julia Louis-Dreyfus met with eight female Democrat governors at the Democratic National Convention. The group later gathered to create a lip-synced musical video set to Chappell Roan’s song, “Femininomenon,” which is reportedly about the artist’s life as a lapsed Christian who turns to lesbianism.

The video features Louis-Dreyfus and governors Gretchen Whitmer (Michigan), Maura Healey (Massachusetts), Laura Kelly (Kansas), Kathy Hochul (New York), Tina Kotek (Oregon), Michelle Lujan Grisham (New Mexico), Janet Mills (Maine), and Katie Hobbs (Arizona. The governors and Louis-Dreyfus also participated in a panel discussion during which the Seinfeld star praised the Harris-Walz campaign for being “contagious” and inspiring emotional reactions.

Louis-Dreyfus was one of the Hollywood celebrities who urged Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 election and later commended him for doing so when he finally agreed. Although no policy details have been shared on Harris’ website a month after securing the nomination, it appears that Democrats are prioritizing positive emotions and energy as they prepare for the upcoming election season.
