Biden & Harris Parole Pipeline: A New Record for US Migrant Admissions

The parole pipeline created by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has welcomed as many migrants into the United States as the entire population of Dallas, Texas. In a recent announcement, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed that since January 2023 through July 2024, approximately 1.3 million migrants have been released into American communities via this pipeline.

The parole pipeline utilizes the administration’s “CBP One” mobile app and “humanitarian parole,” both of which were established to facilitate the release of foreign nationals into the U.S. interior through the southern border and commercial flights every month. As of now, over 765,000 migrants have been welcomed to the country via the CBP One app.

The majority of those arriving in the United States using this app are from countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, and Haiti. The mobile application allows migrants to schedule appointments at the southern border for their release into the U.S. interior on parole.

In an attempt to further expand access to this pipeline, President Biden and Vice President Harris recently announced that they are extending the CBP One mobile app to ensure that individuals in southern Mexico can also use it to enter the United States.

Another key component of the administration’s migration strategy is the “Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV) program,” which has allowed more than 520,000 nationals from these countries to arrive in the U.S. on humanitarian parole. To enter the country through this program, applicants first need approval from the DHS, after which they can fly into the United States via commercial flights.

However, recent reports have suggested that DHS officials were compelled to temporarily shut down the CHNV program due to “large amounts of fraud” among migrants released into the U.S. interior. In light of these revelations, Reps. Mark Green (R-TN), Clay Higgins (R-LA), and Dan Bishop (R-NC) have requested information and documents related to the alleged widespread fraud discovered in the CHNV program from DHS Secretary Mayorkas.
