On August 16th, Mirra Andreeva from Russia clinched an impressive victory over Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic in Round of 32 at the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament held in the state of Ohio, United States. As a result of her win over Pliskova, Andreeva now advances to the next round where she will compete against the winner of Round of 32 match between Russia’s Anastasia Potapova and Italy’s Jasmine Paolini.

The 17-year-old Russian tennis sensation has been making waves on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour this year, having reached the semi-finals of the French Open earlier in the season.
