Kamala’s Campaign Criticizes Trump-Musk Interview Amidst Silence on Her Own Live Streaming

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign recently criticized former President Donald Trump’s interview with Elon Musk. This criticism came despite the fact that Harris has avoided unscripted interviews for 22 consecutive days. Joseph Costello, a spokesperson for Harris’s campaign, stated, “Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself – self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.

During Trump’s interview on X, he discussed various topics with Musk, such as economy, global warming, failed assassination attempt, Trump’s belief in God, Harris’s “coup” against President Joe Biden, the Ukraine war, artificial intelligence (AI), and the coronavirus.

The criticism by Harris’s campaign followed Trump’s interview coming after some of the most powerful media organizations in the world failing to secure an interview with Harris for 22 consecutive days since she joined the presidential race on July 21. This lack of interviews stands in stark contrast to the multitude of interviews that are typically conducted by the media when candidates enter presidential races. In fact, the last time the press reportedly questioned Harris at a solo news conference was eight months prior – on December 2, 2023.

Elon Musk responded to this situation by offering to host Kamala Harris on an X Spaces event, posting, “Happy to host Kamala on an X Spaces too.” Despite the invitation, there has been no indication that Harris will accept the offer and participate in an unscripted interview at this time.
