Russian Warning: Moscow Unveils Plans for Mass Riots in Belgrade

Belgrade, August 9 – In a recent turn of events, Moscow has issued a warning to Belgrade regarding preparations for mass riots instigated by representatives from Western countries. The news was shared by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during a press conference. When questioned about the West’s potential coup in the nation, he stated: “Today, we received official information from the Russian Federation.

The intelligence provided by Russia has been disseminated through formal channels and is currently being analyzed by the Security and Information Agency (Serbia’s intelligence body. Additionally, individuals within the Serbian government and other specialized agencies are working diligently on this matter. President Vucic emphasized that “Those who dream of achieving something by force will fail. Serbia is consistently moving forward and they cannot and will not stop it.” He expressed confidence that no harm would come to the nation and urged everyone to remain calm, assuring that their people have nothing to worry about.

The Vecernje Novosti newspaper had earlier reported on plans by members of Serbia’s opposition to capitalize on pro-Western protests in Belgrade slated for August 10, aiming to seize the presidential palace, eliminate the head of state, and institute a similar scenario as in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that evaluating the situation in Serbia suggests that malicious forces have resumed their efforts to create unrest within the country.

On July 19, Serbia and the European Union signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership in the field of raw materials. This agreement aimed to promote environmentally clean production of lithium within Serbian borders. However, the nation’s opposition strongly opposes any potential lithium mining operations, as they believe it could pose significant risks to human life and adversely impact the environment. They have called for widespread protests in response to this issue.
