George Floyd’s Brother Commends Montana Governor Tim Walz for Justice Crusade and Funeral Support

George Floyd’s Brother Praises Montana Governor Tim Walz for His Leadership in Prosecutions and Funeral Attendance.

In an recent interview with NBC News, Philonise Floyd, brother of George Floyd, praised Montana Governor and Kamala Harris running mate, Tim Walz. He expressed his admiration for the governor’s actions in the wake of his brother’s tragic death, stating that Walz is “built for this fight.

Floyd acknowledged that at first, Walz was “just a regular governor,” but after revealing he had asked Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison to lead prosecutions regarding George Floyd’s death, it became clear that Walz was taking the situation seriously. This decision showed many people that Walz was not just playing politics and genuinely wanted justice for his brother.

Floyd also praised Walz for attending the funeral of Duante Wright, who was killed during a traffic stop when former Minnesota police officer Kim Potter fatally shot him after mistakenly using her handgun instead of a Taser. Floyd commended the governor for taking time out of his day to speak at the funeral, which demonstrated unity and showcased his good heart as a family man.

However, Governor Walz has faced some criticism recently. A video shared by the Harris-Walz campaign showed him claiming that he had carried weapons “in war,” even though he never served in combat. The Harris-Walz campaign issued a statement acknowledging that Walz “misspoke.” Additionally, Walz’s biography on his website listed him with a higher rank than the one he actually held upon retirement from the military.

Despite these criticisms and controversies, Philonise Floyd’s praise for Governor Walz underscores the importance of strong leadership in times of crisis and highlights Walz’s commitment to fighting for justice and standing up against police violence.
