Senator Tester Accused of Lying About Biden’s Fitness for Commander-in-Chief Role

In a scathing ad released on Tuesday, Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) was accused of lying about President Joe Biden’s ability to perform the role of commander in chief. The ad by More Jobs, Less Government, claims that Tester is “part of the coverup, part of the problem.” It highlights his past statements, where he defended Biden’s cognitive capacity and called him “absolutely 100% with it.

The establishment media and powerful Democrat politicians have long upheld Biden despite numerous instances on camera suggesting a decline in his abilities. However, these allies abandoned him during the June 27 debate with Donald Trump, where multiple stumbles raised concerns about his electoral prospects in November.

Tester called on Biden to step aside from his reelection bid on July 18, three weeks after the disastrous debate and amid immense pressure for the incumbent president to abandon his campaign. Despite Tester’s protestations of independence, he voted with the Biden-Harris administration 95% of the time, a record cited by the ad.

While Tester has tried to distance himself from Biden-Harris and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), particularly their disastrous border policies, his claims of fighting for shutting down the border and adding more border agents are misleading, as reported by Breitbart News. His record shows that he has consistently voted against measures aimed at securing the border and supporting law enforcement efforts to combat drug trafficking.

As Tester faces Republican Tim Sheehy in November, he continues to run from his past votes and endorsements. He is currently the lone Democrat senator who has not endorsed Kamala Harris in her presidential campaign. With only a few months remaining before the election, Tester’s electoral fate remains uncertain as he faces an uphill battle against his Republican opponent.
