Governor Greg Abbott Slams ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris over Inaction on Border Crisis

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her failure on the border during her time as vice president. In a statement released by his office, Abbott revealed that he sent a letter to Harris three years ago urging her to visit the border and take swift action to secure it after she was appointed Border Czar by President Joe Biden. Despite being referred to as “border czar” in various media outlets, including CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, and ABC News, no significant progress has been made in addressing the issue.

Abbott highlighted the urgent need for action, citing concerns about human trafficking and the increasing number of unaccompanied minors allowed to cross the border under the Biden-Harris Administration. He also emphasized that more than 11 million illegal immigrants have entered the country since the administration took office, with no response from Harris on his letter detailing these dangerous concerns.

The governor expressed disappointment in Harris’ refusal to acknowledge the criminal nature of those crossing the border illegally and pointed out recent attacks by violent undocumented immigrants in Texas as evidence of her negligence. He further challenged Harris to visit the border this week as she makes her way to the Lone Star State, urging her to support the Justice for Jocelyn Act in the United States Senate and work with U.S. Senators to get it passed.

As Vice President Kamala Harris visits Texas again this week for various events, Governor Abbott continues to call for action to address the crisis at the border and ensure the safety of American citizens.
