25M Crypto-Fundraiser Boosts Trump’s Campaign & Unlocks New Donors

Former US President Donald Trump’s campaign raised an impressive $25 million in just one night at a cryptocurrency fundraiser held in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday. This significant amount was confirmed by David Bailey, CEO of BTC Inc., and the conference organizer. Sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that many donors were new to the Republican Party or politics altogether, indicating Trump’s energy in the cryptocurrency space helped attract substantial investment for his political success.

Key players in organizing the fundraiser included Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN), who previously served as Trump’s ambassador to Japan during his first term as president. Hagerty reportedly reached out to donors, encouraging them to attend and support the Trump campaign at this event.

The fundraiser took place on Saturday afternoon at the Music City Center in Nashville, coinciding with the broader Bitcoin 2024 Conference that started on Thursday and concluded on Saturday. Attendees included Senators Hagerty, Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), as well as businessman and former Trump rival Vivek Ramaswamy, Jake Paul the boxer and podcaster, musicians Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus, and Winklevoss twins who founded cryptocurrency exchange Gemini.

This fundraiser follows another significant event held earlier in the summer in San Francisco at the Pacific Heights residence of tech entrepreneur David Sacks. The success of this fundraiser highlights Trump’s ability to attract donations from new demographics, as almost 100 people paid $60,000 each for a photo line with Trump, which reached its capacity. Interestingly, Trump’s campaign was reportedly accepting donations in both cash and Bitcoin – digital and physical forms.

Senator Bill Hagerty shared his thoughts on the success of the event, stating that there is a natural connection between the Republican Party’s values of liberty and freedom, and those of the cryptocurrency community. Trump’s speech at the conference was considered one of the strongest articulations of Bitcoin and crypto, with attendees expressing their excitement throughout the event.

Senior Trump campaign adviser Brian Hughes highlighted Trump’s vision for regaining America’s global lead in technology, innovation, and manufacturing – including cryptocurrency. He emphasized that Trump is prepared to remove obstacles placed by Democrats like Vice President Kamala Harris, who are perceived as attacking the tech sector and innovators. The RNC has released a website detailing how corrupt Democrats, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, have waged “war” against cryptocurrency.
