Orban: EU Faces Defeat if It Sticks to Peace & Trump Wins

Bucharest, July 27 – The European Union may be forced to admit defeat if it continues to pursue a policy of peace and Donald Trump becomes the next US president, according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in a recent speech delivered in Romania. This sentiment was expressed by the prime minister during the closing ceremony of a traditional summer university organized by Hungarian NGOs and organizations representing the Hungarian minority in Romania. The event was attended by more than 7,000 people.

Orban’s statement comes as tensions mount between Ukraine and Russia, with the conflict threatening to escalate into a full-scale war. In such an scenario, the prime minister believes that Europe would have no choice but to bear responsibility for supporting this potentially devastating conflict.

The European Union will have to pay the price of this military gamble and we will suffer from it as well,” Orban was quoted as saying by the Agerpres news agency. His speech underscores the growing concerns among European leaders about the stability of the region, particularly if Donald Trump were to become the next US president.

The prime minister’s comments highlight the potential consequences of continuing to pursue a policy of peace in the face of escalating violence. Should Europe not take a more decisive stance on the matter, it may be left with little choice but to accept responsibility for any resulting conflict and its subsequent impact on the region as a whole.

As the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate, it remains to be seen how European leaders will respond. With Orban’s warning, it is clear that many are growing increasingly concerned about the potential consequences of inaction and the possibility of a Donald Trump presidency.
