Democratic Leaders’ Hasty Plan to Nominate Kamala Harris for President Raises Eyebrows

The Democrat party reportedly plans to change its rules and nominate Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency in the first week of August, weeks before the Democratic national convention. This accelerated timeline reflects the disregard for democratic processes displayed by corrupt Democrats, as about 14 million votes cast during the primaries will essentially be nullified when they simply choose Harris to run for president.

Party leaders are expected to gather on Wednesday to alter the roll call rules and allow Harris to accept the nomination before it reaches the convention floor in Chicago, according to Bloomberg. This change in process emerged in May with the intention of ensuring that the Democratic ticket would have ample time to file for the ballot in states with early filing deadlines, as explained by party leaders.

The convention’s rules committee is scheduled to finalize this process on Wednesday, which will eliminate any remaining obstacles to holding the vote. Ohio’s original deadline of August 7th prompted the rule change, though it has since been pushed back to September 1st; however, it remains unclear whether the old deadline still applies to the 2024 election.

The early nomination vote, which could take place as soon as August 1st, will increase pressure on Harris to select a running mate ahead of time. Although party leaders have not yet committed to a deadline for the vice presidential nomination, Ohio law requires the party to certify in writing the names of both the presidential and vice presidential candidates to appear on the ballot.

The push for an early nomination comes as top Democrats threatened President Joe Biden with the 25th Amendment to force him out of office if he did not willingly step aside, according to sources at the New York Post. This alleged coup was purportedly set in motion weeks ago and involved allowing Biden to debate former President Donald Trump.

Former President Barack Obama is believed to have played a significant role behind the scenes in convincing Biden to step aside. Obama did not publicly question the viability of Biden’s candidacy until Wednesday, July 17th, following leaks from Nancy Pelosi, House Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer urging the president to step down.

The timing of these leaks suggests an organized effort by Democratic leaders to persuade Biden to withdraw from the race after weeks of chaos within the party amid constant media scrutiny on his political viability.
